The Jags are coming off a poor performance and loss to the Texans, whilst the Eagles threw away a 17-0 first half lead to tank against the Panthers. Both teams travel to London with an equal 3-4 record and are looking to bounce back from last weeks losses. We see the Eagles offence inflicting more misery on the Jags defence and a rejuvenated Carson Wentz putting up some big numbers at Wembley. Philly to win, Philly spread of -3 and Alshon Jeffrey anytime TD scorer are bets that we particularly like on this game. Visit Betway Review
The ever reliable Justin Tucker sliced his extra point wide with 24 seconds to go in the Ravens heart breaking defeat to the Saints last week. Joe Flacco and co need a win to keep up the pace in the hotly contested AFC North. Carolina are hoping to build on the epic win over the Eagles in which Cam Newton took charge of the 4th quarter. With strong defences being the backbone of both of these balanced teams we go with the Panthers at home to edge it. We particularly like the look of Carolina spread of -2.5 and a Cam Newton anytime TD. Betway offers £30 to all new customers
Hard to predict which Jets team will come out of the tunnel on Sunday at Soldier Field. Will it be the Jets that put up a combined 76 points in beating the Broncos and Colts, or will it be the Jets that tanked to the Vikings and Jags and conceded a combined 68 points. The Bears were on a hot streak until they were bought down to earth by 2 AFC East teams in the form of the Dolphins and the Patriots last week. This week though the Bears will have too much for their third AFC East opponent in a row. We expect the Bears defence to suffocate the Jets and to capitalise on turnovers from the rookie Jets quarterback Sam Darnold. Bets with decent value on the game are Jets to have most turnovers and under 45 points. Join William Hill now for £30 free
The Bengals are coming off a mauling (excuse the pun) against the Chiefs from MNF, but with Kansas City playing fantasy football it is no disgrace. Cincinnati lost their previous game to the Steelers too, but are still well placed in the stacked AFC North. The Bucs squeezed past the Browns in overtime last time out but has obvious problems in defence ranking 31st in the league against the Rush.
The Bengals running back Joe Mixon will be set to work against the Bucs D that has conceded over 100 points in its last 3 games.
Bengals will outscore the Bucs in an expected high scoring game while the calls for Fitzmagic will grow slightly louder. Bengals spread of -3.5 and over 54.5 points both look bets with great value. Bet with William Hill here
The Seahawks travel to Ford Field on the back of a bye week and looking to continue their mimi resurgence – winning 3 of their last 4 games and only losing to the Rams by 2 points. While first place in NFC West looks sewn up already, the 3-3 Seahawks are looking to sneak into the playoffs through the wild card. Detroit have an identical record to the Hawks and are well positioned in arguably the strongest division in football currently – the NFC North. Will the heat and humidity from the win against Miami catch up with the players in what will be a hotly contested game? Two very evenly matched teams but we fancy Seattle with a week to prepare for the game. The Lions may find it hard to contain Russell Wilson who still remains the most elusive quarterback in the league. Seahawks spread of +3.5 is very appealing as is under 46 points considering both teams defence strength. Join Betway now
After a narrow first defeat of the season to the Patriots in Week 6, the Chiefs answered any critics with a demolishment of the Bengals last time out. Kansas City has so many offensive weapons it is proving impossible for defensive co-ordinators to stop them putting up ridiculous numbers (they have averaged 38 points in last 3 games).
If it wasnt for the Rams the Chiefs would be the story of the season, but Mahomes, Hunt, Hill and Kelce and currently playing lights out football and have defensive co-ordinators struggling to slow them down.
Denver ran the Chiefs close at home earlier in the season, but simply do not have the tools to stay with the high scoring Chiefs. Case Keenum has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns (9 vs 8) this year so far and playing catchup against the Chiefs is tough for even a quarterback in the zone. Unless Von Miller has an out of this world game, it will be another win for a Chiefs team who are quite happy playing 2nd fiddle to the Rams. Chiefs are such heavy favorites on the game, you have to look at the spread of -10 as good value. Additionally they have been involved in some of this seasons highest scoring games, as such over 53.5 looks a good bet. William Hill customers get £30 free
This NFC East battle only has one winner as far as we can see… and its not the team with the 1-6 record (Giants). While the Redskins have not produced any headline performances so far this year, they sit atop the NFC East with a 4-2 record after edging the Cowboys last week. With Adrian Peterson (AP) looking like one of the steals of the season and Alex Smith producing solid numbers the Redskins will likely prove too much for the Giants defence. With the offensive line struggling to protect Eli Manning, he has spent an awful lot of time avoiding pressure and picking himself up from the deck.
With one eye on opposition pass rushers, Manning cannot go through his progressions and this has affected his numbers badly as he and Odell Beckham Jnr look to rekindle their on field chemistry.
The Giants defence struggles against the run especially and we expect AP to put up a 100+ yard performance. Giants torrid season to continue and the Redskins to win is a great value bet. Add some juice with an Adrian Peterson anytime touchdown scorer bet with Betway by joining here for a free £30
If this game is anything like the matchup from Week 1 then we can expect another entertaining game. The Browns showed the NFL world that they were not going to be a pushover with their nail biting draw (yes draw) with the Steelers even after overtime. Both sides have improved since that early game, with Pittsburgh’s offence sharpening up for the second of the season and Cleveland managing to win 2 games! The Steelers are almost unbeatable at Heinz field and certainly will capitalise on any mistakes or turnovers that the young and reckless Baker Mayfield is prone to do when chasing a game. While the Browns will beat some further teams this year – it wont be this Sunday as the Steelers are coming off their bye and will be rested.
Expect Big Ben and Antonio Brown to connect on big plays, a passionate but ultimately futile catch and run from Jarvis Landry and that the Steelers run out easy winners this time round to take a commanding lead in the AFC North.
Bets that we like on this game are Steelers spread of -8 and Browns to have the most turnovers in the game. Join William Hill now and get £30
We can’t get too excited when two teams face off against each other with a combined record of 3-10. Who knows if Jon Gruden will have traded another star player out of Oakland by the time the game kicks off, but with Amari Cooper now gone and Marshawn Lynch injured it looks like another loss coming up for the Raiders at home. Derek Carr cannot be expected to sustain drives with no supporting cast around him, and this is shown as the offence ranks 25th in the league. Andrew Luck has silenced the doubters so far this season, with an impressive 20 touchdowns in only 7 games spreading the ball to his tight ends and wide receivers. Expect more of the same on Sunday as the Colts will edge out the limp Raiders who managed only 3 points in their last game against the Seahawks. Colts to win is a bet with good odds as is an anytime Eric Ebron touchdown. Join Betway now and receive £30
As the old saying goes, you wait for a bus and then 2 come along at once. If you thought the Colts game was going to be lacking any quality football, this game can also be labelled the same. Two teams both with 1-6 records and somehow in the same division sit joint rock bottom of the NFC West and face off in what is probably the least anticipated game of the season so far. The 49ers season looked over when Jimmy Garoppolo got injured and so it appears, with Matt Breida being the only glimmer of light in an otherwise uninspiring roster. In Larry Fitzgerald and David Johnson the Cardinals have 2 top quality players, but both are struggling by their high standards and Josh Rosen is making inevitable rookie mistakes.
In the battle of the doldrums expect Arizona to scrape it leaving the 49ers to ponder what the season could have looked like with a healthy Jimmy G.
Cardinals to win a low scoring game and as such we like under 41.5 points. Bet online with William Hill here
Is this the week that the Rams lose their undefeated record? Green Bay rested and prepared off the bye week, a healthier looking Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams coming up clutch when it matters, and even Jimmy Graham chipping in with some yards. The answer is no. The Rams are not 7-0 by chance and they have the most dangerous offence in football. The Rams are first in the league in total offence as well as rushing with Todd Gurley having an MVP year so far. Jared Goff has an array of talent in the passing game and utilising the play action passes to great effect in averaging over 33 points a game so far this year.
Expect Gurley to add to his 11 touchdowns and for the Rams to remain undefeated at the mid way point of the season.
For those looking for some better value on the game Brandin Cooks anytime touchdown scorer looks tempting as does Green Bay to win the fourth quarter as Rodgers looks to engineer a late fight back which inevitably falls short. Join Betway here and get £30 free
Two in form teams both with hot quarterbacks face off on what looks like a great Sunday Night football matchup. After loosing their first game of the season, the Saints have managed an impressive 5 wins in a row as they head to US bank stadium to face the Vikings who are also on a good run of their own. Kirk Cousins has thrown for over 2,000 yards in his 7 games so far with most of his passes being caught by wide receiver duo Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. Thielen has over 800 yards receiving on the season and the Saints defence will have their hands full containing the Vikings attack. Marshon Lattimore will have a great chance to show just how good a corner he is come Sunday night and Drew Brees will hope his young teammate can slow down a Minnesota offence and keep the game close. Brees himself is having a stellar year putting up crazy numbers – see a touchdown to interception ratio of 13:0.
With Alvin Kamara in the backfield capable of explosive big plays as both a runner and receiver expect this game to be a high scoring and entertaining affair.
This will be a tough game for the Saints but with Brees this hot we see them coming out on top. A New Orleans win together with over 53 total points look like strong bets on this game. Join William Hill online now
Week 8 closes off with this AFC East battle between two old foes who find themselves playing out their usual recurring season story. The Patriots are missing key players but still managing to grind out results and sit atop the division which they have ruled for so long. With Gronkowski questionable Tom Brady will look to trusted receiver Julian Edelman to move the sticks and keep drives alive. Sony Michel looks like a shrewd addition to the roster, as does the headline magnet Josh Gordon. The Bills are struggling, as they normally do.
The long suffering Buffalo fans seem consigned to another awful season and already looking at how high their draft pick for next year will be.
Josh Allen needs support on offence (which ranks 31st in the league) and he needs to take better care of the ball (2 touchdowns to 5 interceptions). It will be another divisional win for the Pats as they rumble along quietly and Bill Belichick plots his way to another Superbowl visit. The odds on a Pats win is too low to interest us, so we will focus on anytime touchdown scores for either Edelman or Chris Hogan. Patriots to win both halves offers decent value and looks likely against a hapless Bills offence which struggles to score. Join Betway and get £30
