Green Bay vs New England

In any other week this would be the stand out game, but in our opinion it stands equal to the Rams vs Saints matchup which is our next prediction. So much has been written about Brady vs Rodgers you would think its a tennis match between the 2 greats. There has been little mention of the other players on either teams roster and both have players on either side of the ball who can have huge impacts on any game. The Pats have home field advantage in this clash are 4-0 at home so far this season whilst the Packers are a surprising 0-3 away from home, which would point to a Pat win. But the Packers were a fumbled kick off return away from potentially beating the Rams last week – and we will never know if Rodgers had another game winning 2 minute drive in him last Sunday. The Patriots meanwhile dispatched of division rivals the Bills in comfortable fashion on Monday Night Football last time out and sit in their reserved spot at the top of the AFC East. Rodgers will look to wide receiver Davante Adams and tight end Jimmy Graham to hurt a Pats defence which is ranked a lowly 26th in the league. Blake Martinez had a huge game last week for the Packers defence venturing into the backfield on numerous occasions.

Martinez together with all pro Clay Matthews will hope for a repeat performance as pressuring Brady in the pocket is imperative to Green Bays chances of winning the game.

The evergreen Patriots QB will be sweating on the availability of a number of key players on offence that are all questionable leading into the game. The trusty receiver Julian Edelman, together with break out running back Sony Michel are both questionable and tight end Gronkowski is being double teamed out of games. If neither of those is good to go Brady will look to James White who already has 6 TDs to his name this year. Master tactician Bill Bellichick will have a game plan to thwart the Green Bay offence and we feel that the Patriots at home will run out on top of this prime time game. The Pats spread of -5 is very appealing and priced at 1.91 with William Hill as is anytime touchdown for Chris Hogan at 3.50 assuming Edelman and Michel are not fit to play. Join WIlliam Hill and get £30 free

Los Angeles vs New Orleans

Last week we were confident that the Rams would overcome the Packers and remain undefeated at the half way point of the season. While this weeks opponents also have a veteran future hall of fame quarterback, that is about where the similarities end. The Saints are on a 6 game winning streak and come into the game against the Rams brimming with confidence. And why not? Brees has an TD to INT ratio of 14:1 and is approaching 2,000 passing yards on the season. Michael Thomas is one of the least talked about receivers in the league, but the Rams corners will have to keep their eyes on one of the Saints most explosive playmakers.

On the ground the workhouse that is Alvin Kamara will be joined again by Mark Ingram and both will be looking to set the tone against a stout Rams defence giving up on average 100 rushing yards a game.

Much has been written about the Rams offence – and rightly so as they put up impressive numbers week in week out. Last time out the only undefeated team left in the NFL this season only just edged past a Green Bay team that is no means a force in the NFC, with a 3-3 record to show for it. With no serious injuries to report the Rams should be at full strength, giving rising star Jared Goff and head coach Sean McVay a whole playbook to use against a Saints defence that is ranked 13th in the league. Gurley will be fed the ball in the end zone as the highest scoring team in the league looks to extend to 9-0. The 2 teams combined record stands at an impressive 14-1 and we expect a great game at the Mercedes Benz superdome. We feel that the Rams could lose their first game of the season on Sunday as they come up against a red hot Saints team led by Brees having a career year. The spread of +2.5 on the Saints has great value at 1.91 in what will likely be a closely contested game. Gurley and/or Kamara to score anytime touchdowns is a strong bet with both teams scoring freely and averaging 33 points a game each. As such over 57.5 total points with William Hill at 1.91 looks to be a bet with great potential and value. Join WIlliam Hill and get £30 free

Los Angeles vs Seattle

The Seattle Seahawks midseason record of 4-3 has surprised many pundits and experts who had the team down to struggle this year with a number of high profile departures from the team. The Hawks were one of our shocks from last weeks fixtures and came through to beat Lions quite comfortably in the end. The Seattle offence led by Russell Wilson needs to score more points as they only average 24 per game and ranked 28th in the league. The fact they have that winning record is testament to the defence which is allowing less than 19 points per game. Wilson continues to impress as a passer and has a good balance of receivers to aim at with Tyler Lockett and Doug Baldwin looking to capitalise off the play action pass game.

The running backs performed well against a strong Lions defence last week and Mike Davis seems an able replacement for the questionable Chris Carson.

The Chargers are 5-2, second only to the Chiefs in the AFC West and on a nice 4 game winning streak. Phillip Rivers has thrown for over 2,000 yards, has 17 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions – not bad at 36 years of age. With star running back Melvin Gordon questionable the Chargers could be without a potent weapon who has accumulated 6 rushing touchdowns so far this season. Can the Chargers silence the raucous home fans at CentruyLink field and get the better of a Seahawks defence which ranks 3rd in the league. We fancy the Seahawks to take advantage of home field advantage and limit Rivers and co on offence. Seahawks spread of +1 with William Hill is a very appealing 1.91 – with the same odds being offered on under 47.5 total points. A bet with huge value, especially as the Hawks are averaging 1.4 turnovers a game, is a home team defensive touchdown priced at 7.0. Join WIlliam Hill and get £30 free
